1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Tangle, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this service.

2. Description of Service

Tangle provides a cloud-based collaboration platform that enables teams to organise work through folders, conversations, boards, documents, file storage, and invoicing tools. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time.

3. Account Registration

To use Tangle, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorised use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms
• Upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service
• Use automated systems to access the service without permission
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

5. Workspace Ownership and Control

Workspace owners have full control over their workspaces, including the ability to:

• Add or remove members
• Assign roles and permissions
• Access all workspace content
• Delete the workspace and all associated data
• Transfer ownership to another member

6. Content Ownership and Licence

You retain all rights to the content you create, upload, or share through Tangle. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to:

• Store, process, and display your content to provide the service
• Make backups of your content for disaster recovery
• Share your content with workspace members as directed by you

This licence ends when you delete your content or close your account, except where content has been shared with others or where we are required to retain it by law.

7. Subscription and Payment

Some features of Tangle require a paid subscription:

• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• Payment is due immediately upon subscription or renewal
• All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
• We may change our pricing with 30 days' notice
• Failure to pay may result in service suspension or termination

8. Cancellation and Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

• You will retain access until the end of your current billing period
• Your subscription will not automatically renew
• You are responsible for exporting any data you wish to retain

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately if you breach these terms.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of Tangle is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data, but cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining backups of critical data.

10. Intellectual Property

The Tangle platform, including its design, features, functionality, and branding, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the service.

11. Third-Party Services

Tangle may integrate with third-party services. Your use of such services is subject to their own terms and conditions. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tangle from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

14. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the platform.

16. Service Level Agreement

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.

17. Export Controls

You agree to comply with all applicable export and import control laws and regulations in your use of the service.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tangle regarding the service.
